Our work
Aspyre Africa aims to ensure equal access to quality vocational training, relevant skills and decent work for the most vulnerable young people aged 15 to 25 in Senegal.
- At the grassroots level, we undertake projects to test and refine innovative solutions
- At the national level, we aim to bring about systemic change to address the root causes of the problem.
- We aim to be a facilitator, to participate in the mobilisation of stakeholders whether at local, regional or national level, to inspire collaboration and to support the development of sustainable solutions.

Changing lives – Refining solutions
- We make sure vulnerable young people get selected and enrolled into quality vocational training and given the support they need to succeed.
- We work with vocational training centres to enhance or expand the training offer to take into consideration our beneficiaries’ profiles and respond to local labour market needs and opportunities
- Working in partnership with government vocational training centres, local NGOs and other key stakeholders, we build knowledge through practice. We test the quality and sustainability of the services needed.
Bringing about long term solutions
- We engage with key stakeholders to map out existing initiatives, understand connections and power relations, build on existing knowledge and secure strategic partnerships
- We undertake research and document best practices (Model of Services) needed to accompany vulnerable young people throughout their integration process. Our aim is to provide stakeholders with a practical tool including recommendations, training modules and guidance to develop sustainable services tailored to the needs of the most vulnerable young people.
- We aim to influence policy and decision makers
